Encountering Terry Barber the person as well as Terry Barber the vocal experience is a treasure which will tantalize your senses, lift your spirit and open your mind to synergies of music sure to touch your soul. As his celebrity across Europe soars, he is simultaneously gaining recognition and popularity for his unique brand of crossover classical music coupled with a modern flair here in the United States, while calling east Fort Lauderdale “home”.

On 5/12/06 Terry lost his maternal grandfather, Michael Russo to cancer. Seven months later, while writing and producing his album, on the reverse date, 12/5/06, Michele Russo Jillson, Terry’s mother lost her battle to cancer as well. As grief overwhelmed his days, and he thought he couldn’t go on, Terry was encouraged by beautiful memories of his mother and her undying pride for his talent, as she lives on in him forever. With this newfound courage, Terry Barber keeps the fight going, as one hundred percent of the proceeds from his most recent CD, Songs She Loved, go directly to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Due to his fundraising efforts, through benefit concerts and the sale of his CD, Terry Barber, was a nominee for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Man of the Year. Supporting many causes around the globe, Terry donates his talents by performing for many charities. Recently, invited by Prince Alexander to performing to a sellout crowd of 30,000 at Castle Bueckeburg in Germany to benefit Interhelp. INTERHELP – a German based Society for International Aid was founded in 2005 following an emergency intervention on behalf of the Tsunami victims of Sri Lanka. INTERHELP is now dedicated to providing fast, efficient relief worldwide in case of natural disasters.
Terry continues to tantalize his audience with his extreme vocal range. This beautifully talented artist brings pop, new age and classical sound in both the tenor and the rarer countertenor – the highest of male categories, to the stage.
Raising funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Interhelp is not Terry Barber’s only philanthropic passion. As an undergraduate from Northwestern seeking a double degree in engineering and music and a masters degree in music from Trinity College in London, Terry is determined, as he puts it, “To introduce classical music to the masses, by exposing children, in our school system to the diversity of what music means to them, through a variety of genres.”
