Please help us to help – come to Hamelin on 26th of June 2009

Fotomontage: Dana

The Pied Piper of Hameln will be leading the youth out of the famous German town again, but this time for a good cause: The Interhelp e.V. charity organization will re-create the walk of the Hameln children at the original locations, exactly 725 years later, on the 26th of June 2009. Each Kilometer that the children walk will be rewarded with donations from the citizenry.
The Interhelp organization has been helping the needy in Sri Lanka, India and Bulgaria. www.interhelp.info
Ian Anderson of the „Jethro Tull“ music group is supporting the fund-raiser as a patron. Children from England have already booked holidays to Hameln to take part in the event. If the sponsors pledge to pay, the Piper will see the children return safely this time. Just in case, Police and wardens are accompanying the event.
